The BCRC in collaboration with CANTO, the Ministry of Planning and Development, several mobile phone retailers, and bmobile launched the HELLO: Help Electronics Live Longer campaign which provides recycle bins across Trinidad and Tobago. Now available in most geographic areas, the container bins will allow people to get rid of their electronic clutter securely while contributing to a safer environment.

This collaboration will allow bmobile Business’s clients to further enhance their own infrastructure bringing new levels of cyber security and networking optimization that are fast becoming the norm for modern businesses that are looking to move to the cloud.

Electronic Waste (e-waste) is a growing concern worldwide. The first issue is that many electronic devices contain hazardous materials that can leach into the environment as their casings degrade in landfills, where a lot of consumer electronic waste currently ends up. Another reason for the urgent need for responsible recycling is that many components are becoming increasingly scarce or are dangerous to source globally. Moves are afoot to change this in Trinidad and Tobago by several national stakeholders, with the support of bmobile.
